Timmy Mitchell scores 10 second barrel in Maldives!!!
Tropicsurf senior guideTim Mitchell writing today from the Four Seasons Explorer, Maldives:-
"Our guests are over the moon and will back next year!! Great trip! This next one is going to be a duzy too!! Hopefully we can bag some good waves again. A few of us had an afternoon session at Coffins because it was sooooo good. First wave I got was close to a 10 second barrel then followed it up with 3 more amazing makable ones. What an afternoon at The Coffins!!! Great to really get it on...it was all time. Probably the best sessions of my life!"
For those of you who dont know, Timmy is one under-stated guy. He's the guy who talks things down rather than up. Word around the traps is that his barrel was more like 14 seconds.
Tim is also our Tropicsurf guru barrel coach. Tim and Ross have designed a progressional tube riding course that is designed specifically for Tropicurf guests who wish to learn how to make this amazing act far less elusive.
This particular break called Coffins is one of the best. Not too big. Always uncrowded. Exceptionally hollow and mechanical. It is the planned site of one of our upcoming tube clinic trips. For anybody interested, please let contact Ross Phillips to stay on the update list.
With another swell on the way, The Maldives in its El Nino year seems to be having a great time. Hope to see you there to join the action!
